Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am pleading with each of you to recognize this and other public
chess forums only as platforms for healthy and constructive
discussions regarding chess.

There should be no place in any public chess forum for dragging a
person's name and/or personal business through the mud.

Let's strive to do the best we can to help chess.

I believe that each of us visits or participates in this and other
chess forums because we love and respect the great game of chess.
Those who don't need to find a different forum.

Please help chess maintain its dignity and class.

May the Force be with you.

Rachel Lieberman

So Rachel, does that mean that you don't want to hear about bribing judges,
fixing elections, using governance to drive people out of chess, using Chess
Lies as the official mouthpiece for La Caissa Nostra, mismanaging and
missappropriating members funds, using USCF/Co-organizer funds as a slush
fund, taking ones girlfriend on trips to Rio, and stuff like that?

I just want to be sure.

"Later, when the Federation barque has some financial caulking, we will
welcome happy talking and happy thinking.
But not just now, my dear. Not just now." (Larry Parr)
================
By inference I'll take your advice to Rachael and lay off the Mensa model
happy talk for a while.
We need to concentrate on how to put Humpty Chess HQ Dumpty back together
again in its familiar form that allows it to passively preside over declining
adult chess and rotting chess communities.
Drs. Marinello and Hanke have performed the necessary surgeries upon the
afflicted organs, deftly leaving enough vital tissue to maintain a faint pulse
and a gasp of air. They wired the mouth open to receive an abundance of greens
and found the stomach and particularly the bladder and bowels in such good
condition that we can be assured in due time those organs will again produce
for our benefit the main by-products of chess life.

That stuff is tame compared to what I witnessed in my playing days.

I'm reminded of one "funded teacher" who provided "total family support" to
most of his students, if you get my drift.

This was well known at the time, yet I never once heard anyone protest it.
