Aren't you one of those who stand up for the guy and now post this in
here degrading him? Oh yeah. That is what the guy needs now. His
name being ruined as names on a us amateur chess team. Like I said
before. He brought it on himself but now that he was acquitted his
life just won't be the same regardless.

Check your sources, LMC. I neither stood up for him nor condemned
him. Nor would I do so without knowing all of the facts, rather than
just those reported by the press, and without knowing the man, whom I
do not. I did follow the case with interest due to the legal
precedent it might have helped set. Without a convication, however,
this case will have little historical legal importance because it will
not be appealed. I held back on "degrading" Amateur Team titles that
would be very easy to create.

If we want to promote chess, I doubt that coming up with such titles would be
the way to do it. When did the Amateur team become a high school locker room?
