However Kramnik's match experience is pretty dismal Dismal?? are you forgetting that Krmnik beat Kasparov +2=13-0 to win the Braingames World Championship. Lack of experience was the rub against Kramnik BEFORE he played a 16 Game match vs. Kasparov On the other hand, Anand has plenty of match experience, much of it...."dismal". He got slapped about by Garry, and choked against Karpov and Kamsky. Obviously, Anand would not be a pushover, but one has to consider his nerves in high stakes matches. while Anand has a lot of match experience over Kramnik. I pick Anand with a slight edge due to match experience. EZoto According to TWIC Anand defeats Krammnik 1.5-0.5 in the Finals of the Cap d'agde World Rapid Chess Championships. If these 2 players were to play a Match with classical Time controls 40/2 1/2 who do the posters here think would be favored to win lets say for arguments sake a 10 Game match? "Etj718" wrote in message ... That game was impressive indeed.A tough call on who would win a long match.Beating Kasparov is a tough feat so there I would give the advantage to Krammnik.Talent wise (and I realize I am not strong enough to state this) My gut says Anand is a better talent. As in all matches the outcome would be determined by the player in the better form.If I had to pick..I think Krammnik would win.Anand has had problems in the past...example vs Kamsky The fact is that Anand has won the min-match and has a psychological advantage before their hypothetical re-match. The problem with all of these KO Rapid events is that they don't mean much. I doubt that Kramnik will be cowed by the prospect of having to playing Anand in a match of length, with slow Time Controls. Everybody knows that faster Time Controls are Anand's forte. The London match between Kramnik and Kasparov and previuos matches between kasparov and Anand are now history and I look forward to new matches for the chess crown. There should be new names, new chess battles. But so far we can see nothing only endless cancellations of the matches. It`s more regrettable that they are without participation of many outstanding grandmasters with Anand on the top... Regards, Jerzy |
