Default Blitz info in new rulebook to be obsolete

It is sad to hear the news of the impending demise of the WBCA. It couldn't
have come at a worse time, especially for the new (5th edition) USCF rulebook,
which has a separate chapter (Chapter 11) on blitz chess, with the following
(soon-to-be obsolete) information:
"The USCF does not presently rate Blitz games. The World Blitz Chess
Association, headed by Grandmaster Walter Browne, rates blitz under somewhat
different rules. The WBCA also issues a Blitz magazine and has successfully
encouraged the organization of Blitz events during many major tournaments in
the U.S. For current information on WBCA events or rules, contact WBCA at 8
Parnassus Rd., Berkeley, CA 94708."

I suspect Browne kept it alive long past the autopsy. My guess is that his
illness is causing him to cut back on his obligations. I worry that his
action suggests something far more terrible than the end of WBCA.
