Am I right in understanding that any statements about regular adult
memberships should take the Economy Adult membership into consideration?
Same thing w/Scholastic?

Chess HQ caught a big bounce.. up 1700+ lock-in adults. Not bad.. but a one
month bounce doesn't necessarily end a bear market.

What the heck are you talking about? Adults took another couple hundred hit,
and total membership was down again. Even full scholastic dropped, but a gain
in 2000 kiddies paying $13 kept things from looking too bad.

It's kind of sad, even a mega nationals event couldn't get SCHOLASTIC
membership to go up. Yeesh. It's now a situation where 33% of our kids are
paying LESS than they did pre-Cherry Hill. That's obscene.

Yes, plus you also need to take into account the continuing transfer
of prison memberships from the regular adult category to the special
category as those memberships either lapse or are renewed.

As of 12/31/03 there were still 232 prison members in the regular
adult category and 782 in the special category.

And, yes, any analysis of scholastic membership trends needs to combine
full and economy scholastic memberships.

Oops, sorry. I had to squint to see that I had misread 21704 as 23704.
Gotta get a new eye exam.
So, Chess HQ's adults are still in decline. Hmmm.

"To what categories are you referring? I don't see anything that could be
interpreted as an increase of 1700 in any adult categories.

But remember, 10 of that has to go to the Mensa chapter there.
