Subject: Anand reveals real full name in interview

And if he has only one name, shouldn't he be identified in the chess world, by FIDE and others as simply Anand? Nothing more, nothing less. Isn't it time to get rid of "Vishy"? Vishy is a nickname that other chessplayers gave him. He's ok with it. As far as I know, Garry Kasparov (formerly 'Weinstein') has not objected to the usage of his nickname of 'Gazza'. --Nick |

Do you suppose if we all chipped in we could buy Jerry a new sig? It becomes difficult to treat postings on genteel matters of taste seriously when they continue to appear under a header that insinuates the US President is a nazi, and that makes the poster look like an effin' moron (MO ron). Croxen,
Heil Dubya! I DON'T "insinuate" that "the US President is a nazi" (sic). I state in so many words that he and every member of his government, as well as most citizens of his state -- is a fascist. I merely use the Nazi slogans and language, to stress this position and because I believe that many persons today either remember the events of the 1930s and 1940s or UNDERSTAND that part of the history of Europe. Obviously, you, a denizen of Harvard University, cannot conceive of humanity or of human history. But that would be your problem, if you tried to attain to humanity, despite the Harvard handicap. It certainly is not mine. Do you suppose if we all chipped in we could buy Jerry a new sig?
