Very few people play both Chinese chess and western chess. I am the
only one in the US that I know of.

Canada has a very entheusiastic player of Chinese chess named Bill
Byrdon. He is probably responsible for estabilshing the dual club in
Canada.

At the chess class I teach every Friday in Flushing Queens, almost all
of the students are Chinese. Sometimes, one of them brings a Chinese
chess set and I play them at that game as well.

*as well*" (evidently *in addition to chess*), then why did Sam Sloan write
that "I am the only one in the US that I know of" who "plays both Chinese
chess and western chess"?

It seems to me that either Sam Sloan has not expressed the facts clearly and
accurately or that Sam Sloan's writing shows a lack of logical connection
(which, given his record of writings, would hardly surprise me in either case).

person in the world who can claim to be the one and only -- that's what makes
him BOUNCY! Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! The most wonderful thing about Sloan is,
that he's the ONLY one!
