i used to be a member of wcn, but i quit. now i cannot get them to quit
sending me emails. i sent the following email to them on 7-3-2004, but got
an email yesterday again. any suggestions on how to handle this?

please do not send any more emails to me. i am not a subscriber to wcn, i
don't want to be a subscriber. i don't want to know anything about wcn or
chess from you or anyone at wcn.

It is not spam, you selected it yourself when you subscribed.
Go to my wcn then update my account and where you see please inform me about
world chess network news change daily into never.
Also it is better to ask the helpers online if you have a question cause
administrators are very busy and have little time to answer this type of
questions.

To subscribe you must have made an account, as you say you used to be a
member. That account still remains active even if you don't pay membership,
you can still get online and talk to helpers or update your account so that
you unsubscribe of getting e-mails.
The player name you used for your account is the same as in the to: square
of the email you got, the password you should know yourself of course. If
you don't have the program anymore you can just go in internet explorer to:
http://www.worldchessnetwork.com/Eng...untDetails.php
and fill in your username and password. And then update your account and
unsubscribe of getting e-mail.
