interest of chess that I withdraw from my candidacy for FIDE Zonal
President. If nominated, I would be a target for the Redman, Doyle, Barry,
Dubeck gang on the Delegates' floor. These losers want to reduce the power

likely be able to elect one of their own for several years. They will

I have been willing to serve as Zonal President and believe my

number of casual chess players in our country and around the world. I will
work in USCF and in FIDE to do all I can to bring new interest to our Royal
Game.

I will be retiring soon and will have the time and the energy to work hard
on organizing tournaments and promoting scholastic chess. Our game presents
so many advantages to the learning process and these kids indeed represent
the future of all chess.

Gee, I think the Manhattan Chess Club used to have well-to-do
sponsors. They died. And the Manhattan Chess Club is reportedly
dead.

Mightn't it be better if the USCF developed chess through the means of
participants, INSTEAD OF relying on well-to-do sponsors who apparently
have trouble sponsoring a U.S. Championship?
