wtd: chess clock recommendation by klgore@mailinator.com
I'm looking for a recommendation for a chess clock to get as a present for a nephew. He's used to analog but I think I'd like digital to allow for increment play. He isn't active in USCF as far as I know. I'd also like to know a good place to get it, reliably, and well, uh, fast. :-) I haven't kept up with the market and I haven't seen a discussion of them in a while. K

Warning about gothicchess.com by Me Here
Back in October I placed an order for one of their gothic chess sets. I paid, but never received it. I sent 4 emails. First said I would get it soon. Next 3 were ignored and last by me was a request for refund (ignored). These are the guys behind the Karpov-Fischer gothic chess match. Think they will pay the winner?

Susan Polgar has never been involved in scholastic chess by samsloan
Randy Bauer lied again. Susan Polgar has never run or organized a scholastic tournament. Susan Polgar has never taught a regular chess class in a school. Susan Polgar never even went to school herself. Susan Polgar has had no involvement with scholastic chess except for a few publicity appearances for which she was highly paid and a few recent scholastic tournaments in which she has entered her...

yet another Sloan lie by politikalhack@gmail.com
The racist, child molester, and convicted felon Sam Sloan, posting on the USCF Issues forum, wrote: "On Friday, March 25, 2005, the Palm Beach Post said: " has a terrible reputation personally and in business." As you might imagine, Sloan is lying again. (Or is Dick Mesirov the publisher of the Palm Beach Post?) http://www.uschess.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=24603#24603

After a decent interval.... by parrthenon@cs.com
ANOTHER PREDICTION CAME TRUE When editor Dan Lucas cancelled Evans On Chess he said the reason was Chess Life no longer needed a question and answer column. Here is a posting that I placed online last June. Lo and behold, the December 2006 issue of Chess Life has a Q&A column conducted by GM Joel Benjamin. As I predicted. I'm ****ed at the bull dyke Marinello by samsloan
When I was elected to the board, she was kissing my ass to join her side since she no longer has any supporter on the board. Now she double crossed me and ****ed me up good. She doesn't want to endorse me for the next 4 years. What a ****ing bitch! And I thought I could trust a dyke! Robert Tanner got what he deserves by ****ing this bull dyke at the national scholastic tournament. Sam Sloan

these bastions of free expression by Chess One
Here is one area which is non-theoretical which I would recommend to Randy Bauer's attention: -another $10,00 gone west! all people who asked about an expenditure of $10,000 for fundraising have been criticised at Nolan-land by the 'moderator' who makes flamers in this ng look like cuddly Disney characters -------
