chess is cool by
bobby
I think chess is a great relaxing hobby. It makes you think about
strategies while competing in a very competive game. I also like the
colour of the chess board. Black and white are great colours to be able
to catch a person's eyes
chess is the best game to play and the most toughest and competive
sport that requires a lot of a telent so congratz to all those who win!

USCF retaliating against employment whistleblowers by
Ray Gordon, creator of the \pivot\
Given their friendliness with ORGANIZED CRIME FIGURES, this isn't a shock,
of course.
Someone who heads a committee for USCF has said I should "bring it on" with
regard to my suit. I have decided to do just that.
Sounds like civil rights is a joke to this organization.

The 1/x rule strikes AGAIN: Topalov Routes Kramnik In Game Nine by
Ray Gordon, creator of the \pivot\
Wow, second time in a row Topalov is "lucky" enough to have Kramnik slam
into his home preparation. This one was all but over by the sixteenth move,
and shows what happens when a player establishes superiority in the opening:
1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 Bf5 5.Nc3 e6 6.Nh4 Bg6 7.Nxg6 hxg6 8.a3 Nbd7

SCANDAL by
parrthenon@cs.com
SCANDAL = PUBLICITY
The argument that scandal brings publicity was
made by Campomanes and other Fideistas.
This argument has weight -- at least initially.
One of the benefits of Campo's antics was that there
was a split in the chess world, and publicity
increased in the years from 1985 to 1993.
