Former middle school chess champion arrested on felony gun charges by Cranky Chess
More scholastic chess goodness. Usually I find a report about a coach who got caught touching some kids goodies. This time the kid gets the charges. Being a middle school champion must not be that hard because he never cracked a rating of 500. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/lake/orl-lgun1506nov15,0,493308.story?coll=orl-news-headlines-lake

I propose to ban all Muslims from chess by Sam Sloan
I intend to raise this issue at the Executive Board meeting today in Stamford Connecticut so please bring your lawyers with you and, as there will be fireworks, please be prepared to call 911 in case violence and bloodshed breaks out over this. I am a big shot on the board and I will make a lot of noises about this issue. All spectators are welcome. You can be sure that there will be lots...

I am a big shot on the board by Sam Sloan
What's the meaning of life? I have asked this question several times and never gotten an answer, and I am a big shot on the board. On a related subject, my wife wants to divorce me and I am a big shot on the board. I am relieved that you are not asking a question about same-sex marriage, which is my area of expertise. I like the same sex.

LEGAL: EEOC is processing my discrimination charge against USCF by Ray Gordon, creator of the \pivot\
The charge was filed November 2, 2006. Since that time, I have received an e-mail from another male with very impressive qualifications who stated that he would also have applied for the web content editor position had he known it was available. I do intend to file this as a class action when the time comes. --

Age bias in USCF membership prices by Ray Gordon, creator of the \pivot\
So I have to pay full price for a membership but a "young adult" does not? How quaint. Is this price discrimination? -- "Google maintains the USENET." -- The Honorable R. Barclay Surrick, Eastern District of PA Judge From Parker v. Google, E.D.Pa. #04-cv-3918

My Mom kicked me out by Ray Gordon, creator of the pivot
My Mom has given me a 30-day notice to move out of her house. I'm outraged! Where am I supposed to go now? I have no job and I have no money. I'm banking on cashing against the USCF. Now my plan is all ****ed up. -- "Google maintains the USENET." -- The Honorable R. Barclay Surrick, Eastern District of PA Judge From Parker v. Google, E.D.Pa. #04-cv-3918

Radio Time in Russia by marcus@stkittsnevischess.org
Radio Time in Russia Does anyone know how to buy Radio time in Russia? I want to start broadcasting messages in Koran's home town. I want to talk about drug testing children and the organized criminals tend to want to watch the children strip and pea. Marcus Roberts

Playing Scared by John Evans
I've been spending alot of time trying to pinpoint where I can improve my approach to the game. I'm not talking about just learning another line or variation, but I am talking about a change in my psychological approach. At my level confidence sames to be the biggest obstacle. Read this and let me know what you think. http://growwithchess.com/2006/11/dont-play-scared.html -- Thanks,

The Kingston Files by Chess One
Recently I wrote of Taylor Kingston's activities in reference to Chesscafe. He replied without any contradiction to what I wrote. His choice of reply was the typical ad hominem means he has adopted. I felt compelled to contradict him for an earlier message on his intent re Larry Evans, according to what he wrote me, which he now /changes/ when writing in public. I have 20-some of his...

The Demolition of the Illinois Chess Association by WilburSmith
The Illinois Chess Association has been one of the top associations in the country. Now it's just a has-been. Just a few years ago, even though chess was declining, it continued to have a steady membership, expanded its tour events, and had the best attended state championship in history. At its recent November meeting, the following actions were taken, following the resignation of its...

The bitch filed for a divorce by Sam Sloan
My wife has just filed for a divorce claiming that I sexually abused her. The bitch waited until she got her Green Card then she filed. She had no problem doing what I told her to do sexually when she was waiting for her Green Card. Now she claims that I'm a kinky *******. I want full custody of my daughter. Any lawyer here wants to help me pro-bono? Sam Sloan

BOYCOTT AGE DISCRIMINATORY USCF PRICING! by Ray Gordon, creator of the \pivot\
USCF charges more money for adult membrships than for "young adult" memberships. If they can carry a young adult member for $25 a year, they can carry all members for the same price. USCF should change this policy immediately.

Chess Nazis by Rob
I must say I am disappointed at the level of honor in the chess community. It appears to be rife with pseudohistoricl elites who scorn others who have not committed a greater deal of their lives to studing the minutae of obscure chess idioms. If an error is made it is pounced upon and the utter is mercilessly attacked. Continously and maliciously until they stop posting or contributing to the...

Chess Etiquette - Part 2 by John Evans
My first post on this topic got some good dialogue going and I actually learned about some problems on other chess servers. I hope you like this post as well. Now if you have something specific to say on the topic leave comment on the article site so people who don't read news groups can see what you have to say. http://growwithchess.com/2006/11/chess-etiquette-part-2.html -- Thanks,
