PLEASE Crossposting is Very Annoying to Members of Other Newsgroups by
Duncan Oxley
An easy way to be nice to the members of newsgroups
that have nothing to do with r.g.c.p. is RIGHT BEFORE you
hit send check what groups you are sending it to.
If it is about USCF politics there is a 99.99% chance you
will only annoy members of the dozens of crossposted groups.
Take them off the distribution list. It only takes a second.
You will score some good karma.

What to promote about chess by
TomAlciere@TomAlciere.com
Besides a great way to train minds to think better, chess can be a tool
to improve foreign language grades, and not just because of "j'adoube"
and "en passant".
What would the average student rather do, conjugate irregular verbs in
the preterite subjunctive mode, or read a chess magazine in that
language?

New USCF scandal by
Sam Sloan
As I've correctly reported earlier, there are still over 80 boxes of
important documents missing. I believe that this is a mass cover up by
the board. All USCF members should demand to see these records and no
one should renew their memberships until these records are made public.

Shahade, Ross & Itkis by
Sam Sloan
I'll make a motion to use Jennifer Shahade, Laura Ross and Hana Itkis
in bikinis to promote scholastic chess. They're girls with very nice
racks. The boys will certainly love this idea and the girls will want
to be famous like them. This is the best way to raise scholastic
memberships.

Virtually All USCF Financial Records have been Destroyed by

Dear USCF members,

At a closed session of the Board meeting in Chicago it was I
who acknowledged Sam's desire to review the current and
past financial records and asked our Executive Director, Bill
Hall, if they were in good order. His response was that the

Where is the apology for years of Sam Slaon flooding

LOL! Nice to know that the USCF Board is spending time on
such IMPORTANT topics.
What a waste of everyone's time, Sloan.
Just because Sam Slaon fills groups such as rec.games.chess.computer,
soc.culture.usa and alt.politics.bush with off-topic material, that
doesn't mean that you have to follow his example when you reply.

My apology to Beatriz Marinello by

Beatriz is the best USCF President ever. I believe that Beatriz should
replace Bill Goichberg as President. I would like to apologize to
Beatriz for being mean to her in the past. I was just jealous of her
success.

Chess Life rehires GM Evans! by
parrthenon@cs.com
Word has seeped out from the U.S. Open in Chicago that
due to popular demand What's The Best Move? will resume
in the October issue of Chess Life.
Apparently there will no longer be a Q&A column in the
printed version of the magazine.
For the record, this is the fourth time that the 5-time U.S.
champion has been fired and rehired by Chess Life.

We once watched a documentary on Hitler. Afterwards
Bobby said he admired Hitler, and I asked him why.
"Because Hitler imposed his will on the world," he replied.

Let's use PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) to stop fake posters.
I propose people post their messages twice, once in normal English, and
a second time encoded in PGP. We can develop a public and private key
system to encrypt your to send them messages to everyone, identifying
you as the author. If we use PGP in reverse, I suspect we should be
able to determine the registered author of a message. Since...
