LETTERS TO THE EDITOR IS BACK
"Since this material is more honest and interesting than
anything in Chess Life, it's inconceivable they would
pay for it and not use it." -- jr
Although the new editor made a horrendous error of judgment
by caving into the political class and purging Evans On Chess,
he nonetheless deserves high marks for getting Chess Life out
on time and restoring letters to the...

History keeps repeating itself.
But: What we don't realize is that it is the same people who keep
reincarnating on Earth and repeating the same actions, again and
again, until they finally learn the lessons needed to enable them to
evolve.

Vote Counters Honest by
parrthenon@cs.com
RESERVOIR OF DECENCY
So, then, those USCFers who counted the votes --
many of whom likely supported candidates other than
Sam Sloan -- nonetheless issued a ballot tally
electing Sam to the Executive Board.
One good thing to come out of this election --
besides the election of Sam and, possibly the
elevation of Randy Hough to a leadership position in

Paul Truong is the Fake Sam Sloan by
mikeNOSPAM@theopenfile.com
Sam,
For someone who has argued before the US Supreme Court, you should know
better. You have absolutely no evidence that Paul is the "Faker". All
you have is innuendo and feeble circumstancial "evidence".
Give it up. Why should you care who impersonates you on this or any
other forum? You are on the USCF BOD. You should be paying attention
to the woes of the USCF, not your own petty ego.

2nd Open Letter to Sam Sloan by

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Dear Sam,
Joel Channing's two Internet postings of July 21
and 31 provide a fair idea of what you can expect as
a member of the Executive Board. There will be
condescension and hostility politically administered
via such standard ploys as Good Cop-Bad Cop and
Ostracism.

let's have some good customs on rgc*? by

I'd like to suggest to the regular
participants of rgc* to:
1. ignore completely all postings
which are adorn, so to speak, by
a note aboout vanishing from the
Internet in 6 days or similar;
2. ignore completely all postings

Chess bureaucrats in wikipedia?? by
Wlodzimierz Holsztynski (Wlod)
Sure, why not, but not one at the time,
that's a nonsense. There is no need
to have a separate entry for each vp
or whatever of fide or whatever, that's
would be silly :-) :-)
Instead, ther may be justg one growing
article which would list top chess clerks
and similar criminalists, just their name
and their tenure (years in the office).

Paul Truong is The Fake Sam Sloan
The big mystery in chess over the past year and especially over the
just completed election period has been the identity of the Fake Sam

especially rec.games.chess.politics with so many postings that it was
sometimes difficult for anyone to discuss anything else....

Sam Sloan's Secret Agenda for the USCF
Now that I have been elected to the Executive Board, I can now reveal
my hitherto secret plans for the future of the organization. And, no,
I am not going to guillotine all my defeated opponents, at least not
just yet.
Here are a few things I am going to try to get done.
1. Crossville Land Deal. The first thing I want to see is the deed to

Grant Perks, having lost the election, is trying to abolish the
Executive Board
Grant Perks, a former Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer
of the USCF, apparently must have thought that he was just
automatically going to be elected and that he did not have to do
anything at all. Accordingly, he made no effort to campaign.
Perks was therefore shocked when he finished fourth out of the...
