In a non-chess newsgroup Neil Brennan volunteered accusations that I held
anti-semitic views, to which this poster replied

I don't worry that you're a racist, Phil; if you were a racist, you
would speak only to men of your own ethnic group, and regard the rest

Did Steve Shutt miss the deadline?? by

Did Steve Shutt miss the deadline??
Several interesting facts have come out of this Candidate's
Statementgate Affair.
An e-mail was sent to the candidates setting February 10 as the
deadline for submitting a statement for the April Chess Life. However,
several candidates either did not receive or did not read the email
and therefore missed the deadline.

The Goebbels-Himmler method by
Hans Jørgen Lassen
My dear friend Wlod, of Polish origin, has learnt from his German masters.
And he is a fine pupil, following these historical, never surpassed examples
with love, admiration and veneration.
Lie upon lie, repeated a thousand times, is known to work. It worked in the
Third Reich, it works in the US, and lovely Wlod is trying to make it work
here.
Prompted for evidence, for proof, well, he resorts...

My email to Glenn Petersen, the editor of Chess Life, just bounced.
This has never happened before.
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
Does anybody know if Glenn is OK? He is in the hospital and has just

ADM question by
emark@poconorecord.com
Are Alternate Delegates permitted to submit ADM's, or must one be a
full-fledged Delegate to do so?
I searched briefly for the answer to this question on the USCF Web
site, but could not find any information about it, other than the
deadline and contact info to submit ADM's.
Thanks,
ERM

Fischer says he's "still the best" at "old chess" by
Ray Gordon
I'm inclined to believe him.
FIDE should invite him to the next title KO tournament, or maybe have a
round-robin for the top 10-15 players in the world.
Maybe Kasparov could have beaten him, but any other player? I don't know.

Boris Spassky signed letter to ban Jewish organizations by
Peter van der Hoog
About 5,000 people, including former world chess champion Boris Spassky,
have signed a letter asking prosecutors to ban Jewish organizations because
they believe one of the basic Judaic books professes religious hatred, said
a center that monitors religious freedom.

Bobby Fischer's latest match involves a La Jolla attorney
Tue Apr 5, 9:11 PM ET
From an early age, Bobby Fischer has always had a knack for skillfully
moving pieces across a chessboard. He's ridden that talent to a world
championship, gaining celebrity status along the way.

INTUITIVE DUE DILIGENCE
I have been working under the assumption that a formal cost/benefit
analysis had been done prior to voting in favor of selling the building

obfuscating some salary information and posting a current document to
the USCF Website. It sounds like I was incorrect to have made that
assumption, and the...
