Sloan v. Truong - Affidavit on Federal Question Issue by Wlodzimierz Holsztynski (Wlod)
Sam, you have a strong case, which I would like to be won by you. I'd like to see criminals who impersonate and damage Internet to spent some time behind bars. You have a very good reason to take them to court since they caused you considerable harm. Actually, to all of us, but especially to you. Your affidavit has 32Kb at this time. Reduce it to 8Kb and it will be a superb document, it will...

netbook by cwmtrader
The Hollywood NetBook 'Satisfactorily on suggestions for new entries and prominent preferences and pointing out performances that I have previously overlooked. All of these have duly been taken into account and, together with the revised and updated entries, plus the new additions which take the book right up to 2008/09, make Red Carpet Ready, virtually a new book. It has been a delight to work...

Medicine for the USCF by Brian Lafferty
While the USCF is using its credit line to make payroll, not collecting on roughly $100,000 in accounts receivable and talking about going to the LMA for operating funds, I find it amazing that the EB can decide to "help" Kamsky with free advertising in CL and online. Free advertising isn't free to the USCF. Free advertising when cost constraints have forced the cutting of eight pages from...

Benjamin takes over, again by Chess One[_2_]
This time its the Gambit Blog at NY Times. Last time it was Larry Evans' spot at CL. I have thought for a while the Gambit blog was sort of weak - or even very much so - and even corrected it twice myself this week. Anyway, if GM Benjamin no longer has much time for playing chess, as he himself says, maybe we'll see some writing in the New York Times which is not-for-kids? Or at least he...

Fischer-Spassky Picture on Susan's Blogspot by samsloan
I was there on the other side of the camera when this picture was taken. This picture was taken during "The Ball of the Century" in Reykjavik, Iceland where Fischer was showing Spassky his analysis of the final position of the last game in which Spassky resigned the game and thereby the World Championship title. Fischer later told me that Spassky had analyzed the position wrong.

I was NEVER INFORMED what postings of mine violated the AUG or the matter in which they did so.
