An eye opener by
Hans Jørgen Lassen
What can be learned from this Fischer-story?
1. That the American state (and a portion of the American people, though
definitely not all) is as vindictive as the God of the Old Testament.
2. That any excuse will be used, in this case a ridiculous crime such as
playing 20 games of chess with an old friend.
3. That too many people believe in their leaders and do not use their heads
for thinking....

Bushx2 Fischer Saddam by
Wlodzimierz Holsztynski (wlod)
Fischer and Saddam were messing with a wrong
guy -- Bush-senior.
It is one thing to mess with the president of
the USA, but another with the FATHER of the
president of the USA. Then you have to deal
with his SON.
That's all there is to it. Nobody likes to
have his father offended.

Could anybody please give me his contact number so that I can respond

Kevin "Cavemanchess" Bachler promoted by
Sam Sloan
Thank you Spam Scum for providing this link.
http://benefitslink.com/cgi/show_moversandshakers.cgi?database_id=41797
It proves that Kevin Cavemanchess is as great as he says that he is.
Perhaps he will tell us what to do about the 22 USCF employees that
are in the process of being terminated.

BBC lyingly say US has requested Fischer's extradition by
John A Swartz
I would admonish that Boris Spassky who played against Bobby Fischer in that
match in Yugoslavia in 1992 was not punished on any way. For the same match
he was awarded in 2003. He was inducted into the World Chess Hall of Fame in
Miami.
So, it was not logical that for the same thing one chess player was awarded
and second was punished, lost all his properties and menaced with...

Will Fischer be able to travel ?? by

Can he travel or does he have to stay in Iceland for the rest of his

Some one said the large planes land on an American Air Base , will
we
arrest him when he gets off the plane ?
There are reports that Fischer will first be flown to Denmark, where
there will be, one would suppose, a plane available which will be
sufficiently small in size as to allow him to land...

My campaign for the Executive Board by
curtains
I just want to make it very clear once more that I'm running
independently in this election with no ties to any other candidate.
Anything you may hear to the contrary is untrue, and I have no
"alliances" or unspoken agenda. Any inquiries to my position in this
campaign should be directed solely to me. I don't like to get into
these discussions, so this is the final time I'm going to address...

I was pleased to hear that Fischer wisely avoided flying to the airfield

Photo of the Year: Bobby Fischer walks with Miss Watai behind him ! by
chessdon@aol.com
Sounds like there may have to be two photos of the year and good grief,
we are still on the first quarter.
The other photo is of Arnold Denker playing his last game of chess. It
was taken at the end of the day and shows the setting sun and a lamp
casting shadows. It is very symbolic. It is on my website so take a
look. My site address is chessdon.com

Fischer gets more support in Japan parliament / the 'UN' point by
banana
The point that 'Fischer's incarceration weakens Japan's case for
permanent membership of the UN Security Council' is not as silly as some
people might think. Basically the point is: 'why should the Japanese
government get a permanent seat - and veto - if it can't stand its
ground on the "human rights issue" of the US government's persecution of
a single individual?'
Note the important point that...
