The I Was Framed Defense by B. Lafferty[_2_]
Truong's framed defense is beginning to wear a bit thin. Recall that when his resume page on AOL was accessed claiming he had a PhD, Truong made the claim that someone faked the page to frame him. Now he claims he's being framed as the fake Sam Sloan by framers unknown.

Is Bill Hall really out sick again or just a lazy bum who doesn't want to work? by samsloan
Is Bill Hall really out sick again or just a lazy bum who doesn't want to work? Turns out that ever since I filed my lawsuit, Bill Hall has been out sick. It seems that every time something important is going on, Bill Hall suddenly gets the flu or something. Remember when we were trying to finalize the plans for the US

At the same time it would increase sportsmanship since the opponent wouldn't dare hang around in

How about borrowing from progressive chess for handicapping of players? by Rich Hutnik
Rather than the idea of removing pieces as balancing, how about the following levels of handicapping (greater handicap): * First, have the weaker player choose white or black. * Allow the weaker player a chance to score points on a draw, but the stronger player doesn't. * Allow the weaker player to play white, and get two non-capture moves to start before their opponent gets a move. * Three...

Two FOC Members Resign and Call for New Rules by samsloan
Interesting Development: Two FOC Members, Terry Vibbert and Wayne Praeder, have resigned but have offered to serve under new rules. The proposed rules are linked below. Bill Goichberg has come out in favor of the new rules and I too find the new rules to be reasonable and an improvement. Here is a quote: "As communicated before, for months now, the FOC has not been able to work effectively....

A USCF Censor's View of rgcp by B. Lafferty[_2_]
"tsawmiller wrote:How can anyone think that profanity-laced cesspool is a legitimate discussion forum? Wildebeasts have a lower noise ratio....." Because amongst the chaff, there is wheat to be found on rgcp. Ideas and discussion exist here because there is no censorship. Free speech is messy as is democracy. Censorship as has descended on the USCF Issues Forum smacks of just the...

Bill Goichberg and his 17,000 postcards by samsloan
Too bad Bill Goichberg did not think about this when he mailed 17,000 postcards attacking me or when he posted numerous attack pieces to the USCF Issues Forum. Why is it that Bill only becomes concerned about such matters when evidence is developed implicating candidates that he supported for a time? Sam Sloan
