Susan Polgar and Infectech, Inc. by

While searching for information about Susan Polgar's claim to be able
to raise $2 million dollars to hold a match for the Woman's World
Championship, I found the following remarkable press release in the
archives of Susan Polgar's old website at
http://web.archive.org/web/20010515233158/http://polgarchess.com/
Among the many remarkable things about this press release is it claims

Sloan and Others Don't Get it by
Chess One
here is what happens on Sam Sloan's 'own' newsgroup - where people who
challenge his duplicity are banished while he whines about public standards
of what can be said. I have called Sloan a coward before, but never a
sniveling creep who would write this to his cronies....
What is especially remarkable is that Phil Innes has the audacity to
call Bill Hall on the phone frequently and take...

Polgar's Refusal to Defend Her Woman's World Championship by
samsloan
I have done some research this morning on the reasons given by Susan
Polgar for refusing to defend her Woman's World Championship title and
the reasons given by FIDE for forfeiting her and declaring the title
vacant.
First, here is Susan's letter:
http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/twic241.html#13
Here is the reply from the concerned official of FIDE:

Joel Channing comments on the Suspensions of Sloan and Marinello by
samsloan
Now, I will tell you what really happened.
What really happened is that in about December 2006 I was having an
online debate here with Sevan Muradian, a person unknown to me at that
time but whom I have since met.
Sevan Muradian was insisting that the USCF send a team to compete in
the Woman's World Team Championship held May 19 - 30, 2007 in
Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Discipline reviewed by
Chess One
Chessville's reviewer Rick Kennedy commented this week on the new title,
Discipline, including these;-
Nick Herbert, Ph.D., who has written Quantum Reality and Elemental Mind
(has Sam Sloan linked to this guy's home page?), sees an "exciting
white-knuckle metaphysical adventure story."
"It's supposed to be a thoughtful and adventurous read that has some chess
sprinkled in." Says...

USCF's copyright, and protection of copyright by
Chess One
This comment follows a comment on Sam Sloan's usage of Pal Benko's material
So are you saying I can take pages from Time magazine, bundle them in a
book
(looking exactly as printed in TIME)....and say "here is my new book of
author
X's work"?
I don't think so. You can't just copy CL pages.
