Brian P Lafferty cited for being an asshole by
Jackass Lafferty
** Mr. Lafferty, YOU are one of the five reasons that I cited for my
resignation.
Michael Aigner
** What's even more amazing is this forum has become so negative and
filled with hatred. A year ago you would have never seen this. Can't
people be civil anymore? My 1 year old acts better than half the
people on here (like Brian P Lafferty, Brian Mottorshead, Harry Payne,

One of my Proposals to make the USCF Profitable Again by
samsloan
My proposal, which I have advocated for 30 years long before I became
a member of the board, is to make the USCF rating system international
by first rating a few high level tournaments including the Olympiads
which would give every top level player in the world a USCF rating and
then invite other countries to have their events USCF rated upon
payment of applicable fees.
I have presented my...

Election Over but Financial Results Still Not Public by
samsloan
Do you realize that now that the date to count the votes has arrived
and the election is over except for the counting of votes, there still
has been no release of financial information, none whatever, expect
for my reporting the unaudited figure of a loss of $57,915, and no
details beyond that?
Had it not been for my reporting of that figure, which I was able to
do because I am on the board and...

Problems with Payment of Prizes at the US Championships
Phil Innes, who is notoriously anti-USCF and wants to put us out of
business, has scooped the board by posting on rgcp that the prizes
still have not been paid for the US Woman's Championship, even though
the event finished and the players went home a week ago. Also there
was a problem with the payment of the top prizes for the US...

William Kelleher, VICE PRESIDENT OF FIDE, works at Middlesex Community
College in Middlesex County, NJ. I have traced his telephone number
from the FIDE web site, back to the college catalog.
Mr. Kelleher, you don't have much money, do you?

Chessville readers might recall that Janet Newton, through the website
Goddesschess, donated a $300 Brilliancy Prize to the just concluded 2007 US

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I came across the above post from 2000... interesting to say the

how the Armed Forces Open should not be listed as a National Event
because it is not bidded on...

St Kitts and Nevis fires in anger at Barbados by
marcus@stkittsnevischess.org
Allen Herbert, of Barbados, just listed his WORK telehpone number on
the FIDE web site. I called, and found out everything about Mr.

Vote for Sam Sloan by
Jackass Lafferty
Sam Sloan is the best board member we have. He's honest and he keeps
the crooks on the board straight. He tells things like it is. Vote for
him for 4 more years. We should all stand behind him.

Is deceit genetic or the result of years of training? by
Internal Bleach
At the tender age of 7, Susan Polgar's oldest son has
already mastered the art of exaggerating his accomplishments.
In 2006, Tom Polgar-Shutzman won the 2nd grade section
of the K-12 national scholastic tournament.
As seen in the video "My Brilliant Brain, Part 2",
Tom explains "He played well until the end,
and then he messed up a lot. He stepped into a one-move checkmate."

Brian P. Lafferty lacks trustworthiness according to Hal Terrie by
Jackass Lafferty
So now one is not entitled to opinions?
"In my opinion, Mr. Lafferty lacks even the slightest trustworthiness.
I believe the evidence shows that he came into this forum with a chip
on his shoulder, determined to make trouble from the very first day.
He whined and complained - and then threatened - until Bill Hall and
Bill Goichberg folded up like cheap suits. Now we have a massive
moderation...

Brian P. Lafferty lacks honesty according to Steve Owens by

And, of course, our fine legal mind chooses to ignore the fact that
Mr. Terrie provided plenty of basis for his opinion... That fine legal
mind stated this:

Reforming OMOV by
samsloan
The filing fee used to be $30. It was raised to $250 to keep out the
riffraff and encourage a better quality of candidate to run. That has
not worked in my opinion. The quality of the candidates has not
improved. It will not improve no matter how high you raise the fees
because only a small number of people want the thankless and time
consuming task of serving on the USCF Board.
Requiring all...

An old fashioned fairy story by
BarbaraVilliers
Once upon a time there was an ugly frog who desperately wanted to
become a prince. Alas royalty in Vietnam was not encouraged so our
intrepid little hero packed his bag complete with toy sword and got on
a boat to America. This little fat frog was unaware that if he told
lies he would never break the wicked spell that held him captive in
his fat frog appearance.
The boat chugged on it's merry way...
