Accoding to law enforcement, I was accused by USCF President Bill

officals, and kill Susan Polgar. You can confirm this at 850-674-5049,
if you wish. The police called Goichberg, USCF President, and asked if

Seriously Sam, What Was it Like? by
Bruce
I'd like to attempt to get some interesting chess related topics going
on this forum like it once was.
I'd like to start by asking Sam to give us his impressions of what it
was like to be on the USCF Board as an elected member?
What did he enjoy most, which of his accomplishments is he most proud
of and also what things was he upset, annoyed or angry about?
Rather than bash Sam, which will I...

Sam Sloan stated that he wants to see Brian Lafferty suspended from
the USCF forums. When asked of the reason, Sloan stated that
Lafferty's endorsement costs him the election.

Roberts explusion by
marcus@stkittsnevischess.org
I didn't stay at the hotel (the Crowne Plaza) where the US Open is
held. The police sent in a complete anti terrorism squad to interview
me. THEY WENT TO A DIFFERENT HOTEL. The police claimed I was "banned"
from the meeting, but then they called Goichberg, and some discussion
occured, and then I was not banned.
Guards watched my every move. I broke no law, and shook hands with the
secuirty...

Motion to Close Down USCF Forums by
samsloan
At the first meeting of the new executive board at 3:00 PM on Sunday
August 5, 2007, Dewain Barber said that he had posted eight times to
this forum and that in view of the nastiness of the response to his
postings he was asking the board to shut down this forum for 30 days.
Joel Channing spoke in favor of closing down this forum. I believe
that Channing wants to shut down the forum altogether,...

USCF Financial Situation? by
Bruce
I remember when I left chess politics that the USCF was having
financial difficulties nearly every year. Everyone had their opinions
about what was wrong and how to deal with it (or not deal with it) but
not only did we keep hiring ineffective ED's we also kept losing 6
figures every year, forcing us to dip into our LMA funds or to borrow
against our building.
I just wondered how USCF has been...

Chess Rating Services by
Rob
In another forum a question was asked about what are other rating
sources other than the USCF. These are just a few, not all. There may
be many more that are even better than what is here.
Here are just a few of the chess rating services:

Pimping Polgar by
Internal Bleach
George Arndt has an object of intense preoccupation.
Yes, WE know that Susan Polgar is not an object.
However, following news that Susan Polgar has attained the newly-created
position of Chairman of the Executive Board,
George had this to say:
"What I see for USCF is we need to have Susan out there raising sponsorship

Chess One
Over a week ago I made a wild guess and for once predicted a winner - here
is the result from Biel, former US Champ Alex Onishuk who has been playing
strongly in Europe and Russia also scored 5.5 points, but Carlsen took the
cake.
1 Carlsen - 5.5
2 Onischuk - 5.5
3 Pelletier - 5.0
4-6 Polgar, Grischuk, Radjabov - 5.0
7-10 Bu Xiangzhi, Van Wely, Motylev, Avrukh - 3.5

"Dead" by
Chess One
This exchange reminds me of the Monty Python sketch of the dead parrot,
where John Cleese has to insist that it is not repining, resting,
hibernating ... its dead! This exchange is about USCF as it actually is, not
what is proposed to be at the fag-end of yet another election, full of
promises and naught else. //Phil Innes

Polgar and Truong REPEATEDLY take financial advantage of USCF by
Internal Bleach
(reprised)
Over the last several months, I have repeatedly warned this Executive Board,
and I have copied you, about the dangers of USCF working with Susan Polgar
and Paul Truong.
These two individuals are constantly trying to rip us off, and they have
often succeeded. For example, the highly unusual five-year, $30,000
contract Susan Polgar was given to write for Chess Life. There are...

Susan Polgar magnanimously waives appearance fee by
Internal Bleach
(for-immediate-release)
Since Terry Vibbert has announced intention to implement webcast equipment,
the delegates meeting will now be a televised event.
By a previouSLY negotiated legal agreement with Frank Niro, this event now
qualifies as a media promotion in connection with the USCF, and so Ms.
Polgar is entitled to the $5000 honorarium.
However, Susan has aGREED to waive her appearance fee...

Enough with the Sloan bashing already by
krose@citgo.com
As much as I think that Sam Sloan is morally bankrupt in his personal
life as the fact that he seems to create more implausible conspiracy
theories then the Branch Davidians, in all honesty he did seem to
serve a useful purpose on the USCF board.
1) He was not controlled by any of the self serving members of the
USCF's "leadership"
2) He did bring some things that I would classify as "shady...
