Board Responsibility Week Ends With A whimper by Chess One
A rough chronology goes like this. Having found no one at all attending to the alarming Alarie current red ink report , I wondered if anyone at all was at the helm? Concentration of posts have been about the Ex Dir's actions, in 2003 and 2007. My question was why the board took interest in this and did the Ex Dir act outside his brief? I asked the same question in 2003, after similar...

Sam Sloan for USCF Executive Board by samsloan
Sam Sloan for USCF Executive Board Ever since I took office on the board last August, I have fulfilled or tried my best to fulfill every campaign promise I made. I have opened up and started an investigation into why the USCF lost two million dollars in past years. I have exposed payments made by board members to their political allies. I have in most cases (but not in all cases) stopped...

A sincere apology from Tom Alciere! by Thomas.Alciere@gmail.com
I just want to take this time to express how sorry I am to all Law Enforcement officers throughout the United states for all the negative things I've posted about them and the immature way I behaved in various newsgroups. I recently have had a life changing experience and will go into further detain at another time. But I hope all can forgive me, as I am deeply sorry for all the terrible things I...

I'm very angry at Bill Goichberg by samsloan
I spent the last few months trying to kill the AF4C deal and the Berry deal in Oklahoma. This was the masterplan of Leroy Dubeck, Donna Alarie and Beatriz Marinello to dethrone Bill Goichberg. All of a sudden, Goichberg pulled out a deal with Frank Berry. It now makes all of us look stupid. Bill Goichberg must go. Sam Sloan

Board Member Randy Hough Proposes Sam Sloan US Chess Championship by samsloan
Let me propose as an alternative the Sam Sloan Fantasy U.S. Chess Championship. Even the august Marshall Club will not suffice for this one; only Carnegie Hall will do. Of course, Onischuk, Kamsky, and Nakamura (realizing that it's impossible to "defect" to a friendly nation) will be playing. But there's more, much more! Bobby Fischer, his rights restored after the Sam Sloan-led Million Man...

Sam Sloan Life Magazine Question by samsloan
The problem with what you are saying is that, as far as I know, no organization other than the Susan Polgar Foundation has had the audacity to ask for and receive the kinds of deals that they are making. Do you know of any other contracts like this one? I am not aware of any. For example, three time US Champion Lev Alburt has made great contributions to chess, far greater than Susan Polgar has...

Chessville Vignettes -- Eisenhower by Rob
Doesn't suprise me that someone associated with "chess diner" would try to suppress someone elses work. They have a history of doing that. http://www.angelfire.com/games/SBChess/criminal.html

USCF faces cash crunch by parrthenon@cs.com
I have it on good authority that the bloated staff in Cross-to-Bear is having trouble paying contributors to Chess Life and meeting its other bills in a timely fashion.

Why is Sam Sloan critical of Susan Polgar? by samsloan
Dear Mr. Nibbelin, You ask a good question and I have a good answer. You are absolutely correct that Susan is very presentable. She is a very strong chess player, she speaks well, presents herself very well, she is polite and respectful and she creates a great first impression. Indeed, these are the reasons why became her biggest backer and supporter back 21 years ago when nobody else would...
