A Serious Legal Issue Facing the USCF Forums by samsloan
A Serious Legal Issue Facing the USCF Forums Everybody who has been following the USCF forums at http://www.uschess.org/forums will have notice a serious problem. Recently, at the insistence of Joel Channing, the USCF purchased "Internet insurance" for $15,000. The purpose of this insurance was supposed to be to protect the USCF in case somebody sued over something posted to the forums.

I'll sue the USCF and all board members by samsloan
If they try to get rid of me, I'll sue. I'll take down the entire federation with me. You'll never get rid of me. This is my federation. I've been a member for more than 50 years. I'm the most important person in the USCF. If you don't like me then form your own chess federation. Sam Sloan

Answer by Sam Sloan to Ethics Complaint by Grant Perks by samsloan
Answer by Sam Sloan to Ethics Complaint by Grant Perks Grant Perks has filed an ethics complaint against me dated July 26, 2006 in which he alleges that I made statements in the USCF Election campaign concluded a few days earlier which I "knew or should have known to be false". Essentially, he is claiming that had it not been for the allegedly false statements made by me, he would have been...

Marcus Roberts is a big fat chicken by samsloan
Marcus is afraid to rant and rave on the USCF forum. He's nothing but a big fat chicken. He doesn't dare to attack me there because he knows that I'll kick his ass. What a coward! Be afraid Marcus! Be very afraid! Sam Sloan

Matt - who is rgcp going to challenge? by Chess One
Matt Nemmers has organized a group of posters here to sign up to play e-mail chess as a team - I understand he has enough players to begin, so wonder if he has challenged or been challenged by any other team yet? Meanwhile, Rob Mitchell's initiated tournament is heading to a close, with slower moves in, now, critical positions. About 4 or 5 people who post here are taking part, joined by 4...

Chessville Vignettes - All by Chess One
Here is an idea to write 500 to 700 words on your favorite player, chess anecdote or event. The subject needn't be American, and this need not be an encyclopedic entry - but something to show the flavor of the life and times of a chessplayer - or even of a chess idea, as below. After recent criticisms here in these newsgroups - some of which are valid, but some include preferences which do...

I created a new poll for me to win by samsloan
Just to even out the odds, I inserted my name twice and removed Mikhail Korenman's name. We don't need any stinking Russian running anyway. Please be sure to vote for me as many times as you can. http://interactives.alxnet.com/cgi-bin/slither/Driver.py/InterActives/Poll/Poll.render?poll_id=32422 Sam Sloan

I would like to buy some old Chessman comics. Does anybody have some or know where they are for sale? Chessman was the creation of International Master John Watson. I believe that the comic books were published by Bob Dudley. Sam Sloan

These question are with the book in mind not a computer Database. -- Thanks, John http://growwithchess.com/
