Default Issue of Confidentiality on the firing of Grant Perks

Issue of Confidentiality on the firing of Grant Perks

It has been reported that Grant Perks was fired in a telephone
conference call on July 20, 2005 and that Beatriz Marinello, Steve
Shutt and Elizabeth Shaughnessy voted to fire Perks whereas Don
Schultz voted against.

Grant Perks claims that he was not fired. However, Grant Perks was not
there. He was not present on the line when the board voted 3-1 in a
telephone conference call on July 20, 2005 to fire Grant Perks.

Here is a question: The reason that this telephone conference call is
not posted on the web is that this is a confidential manner regarding
an employee.

However, now that Grant Perks is a candidate for election, I believe
that the membership is entitled to know whether Grant Perks was fired
and the reasons therefore.

Therefore, I believe that this telephone conference call should be
made public.

This would of course require a waiver. Grant Perks would have to agree
to allow this conference call to be played.

Will Grant Perks agree to that?

Next: Even if Grant Perks agrees to have this telephone conference
call made public, would that be enough? I am sure that Don Schultz,
who voted to keep Perks, would have no objection. Probably Beatriz
Marinello and Elizabeth Shaughnessy would object.

Under what circumstances can this and other telephone conference calls
be made public?
