Default Goichberg Demands Changes to the Minutes of the Meeting in Los Angeles

No, I said that I was opposed and the decision was that the Board would wait to hear further from me before making a decision. You should not have reported anything, other than perhaps "The date and location of the next meeting were discussed." You should not have speculated that the date that other members appeared to like would be selected, because it had not been.

Following the above statement, Bill Goichberg goes on to tell Myron
and Rachel Lieberman how the minutes should read. He wants to change
history from what was actually said unto something that was not said.

I am really getting tired of Bill Goichberg telling lies. I have tried
to avoid saying anything directly about this but this has gone on
along too long and somebody has to say something about it.

Bill Goichberg said no such thing at the February 4, 2007 board
meeting in Los Angeles. What he really said was that he needed time to
think about it. He did not object to holding the next meeting in
Nashville as Bill Hall proposed nor did he state that he was opposed
to it.

The way this came about was that Bill Hall proposed that the next
board meeting be held in Nashville on May 11-13, 2007, to coincide
with the National Scholastic Championship that is being held there at
that time.

All of the board members said that they were in favor of this, except
for Bill Goichberg who said that he would have to think about it.

In addition, Dewain Barber representing the Scholastic Counsel was
present at the meeting in Los Angeles when this subject was discussed.
In spite of being closely allied with Susan Polgar, Mr. Barber made no
objection to holding the next meeting in Nashville.

Now that this has come out in the published minutes, Bill Goichberg is
demanding that this be changed.

I am deeply shocked that Bill Goichberg keeps doing this lately. I
have known Bill since 1961 and I have never previously known him to
lie. Now, however, he lies all the time such as by saying that Merrill
Lynch and the American Foundation for Chess pulled out of sponsoring
the US Championship because of Sam Sloan, whereas it is readily
apparent that no such thing happened and if anything the real reason
was because of Bill Goichberg.

Obviously, Susan Polgar and Paul Truong are putting a lot of
pressure on Bill Goichberg and Dewain Barber to try to make sure that
only they and no rival candidates are at the National Scholastic
Championships in Nashville on May 11-13, 2007.

Sam Sloan
Obviously, Sam Sloan doesn't wish to talk about the posted meeting
tapes because they confirm what Dewain has written above. Sam would
rather post that Dewain has been pressured into changing his position,
when it is 100% clear that he has not done so.

Also, I have not heard from Susan Polgar or Paul Truong since the
meeting, and my position has also been consistent, I do not support
the Board meeting at the National Elementary. Executive Board
candidates are free to attend this event to campaign if they wish.

Bill Goichberg
I have spoken to other board members and they, like me, do not
remember Dewain Barber saying anything like that. They also do not
remember Bill Goichberg saying what he claims that he said.

Now, we are asked to believe that Bill Goichberg has never read Susan
Polgar's Blogspot where she viciously attacks the holding the next
board meeting in Nashville or that he is not influenced by it.

Meanwhile, Myron and Rachel Lieberman have ruled that since Bill
Goichberg never objected to the minutes of the meeting during the
review period, the minutes stand as posted.

At least they will not be pressured by Bill Goichberg.
