Clearly, Beatriz has no official position within her own federation on
which to hang her hat with FIDE. It is unlikely that the present USCF
board will make any appointment of her to a position that she can use as
a base for FIDE participation. *It is being said that she may have to
run for and get herself elected to the EB in the next USCF election or

As to Muradian, the reality of FIDE is that if you can't deliver for
them, they have no use for you. That Muradian not only could not get
himself elected to the EB, but failed so miserably must surely send a
message to Kirsan, Borg and crew that Muradian is not worth an alliance
with them.

IMO, the USCF is in a better position to bargain and deal within the
FIDE world as there is now clearly only one power center in US chess and
that is the USCF sans Muradian and, for now, Marinello.

I strongly disagree. In the first place Goichberg has never had any
dealings with FIDE. Goichberg has never bargained nor dealt with FIDE.
He has never gone to a FIDE meeting. He has only bad things to say
about FIDE. Goichberg sends toadies and sycophants to FIDE meetings
but at the last FIDE meeting in Khanty-Mansiysk, Siberia, the USCF
representative was defeated for re-election. Therefore the USCF has
nobody representing it in FIDE except for Beatriz Marinello.

You seem to not have thought about this too clearly.

Beatriz was elected to a four year term in 2010. Goichberg will term
limit out in two years. Therefore he is a lame duck. True if past
history holds he will sit out a year and run again. However, under
FIDE rules, FIDE has no direct dealings with the USCF or with any
other chess federation. FIDE only deals with the representatives which
in this case is Beatriz Marinello.

Your *fixated, obsessive hatred of Bill Goichberg not only clouds your
increasingly defective logic, it distorts the facts. Sam, you've made
youself into a living, breathing joke. Give it a rest. Your time is
past. Focus on violating copyrights and forget about chess politics.

Brian Lafferty knows absolutely about the way FIDE works. If he had
known it he would not have made the ridiculous statements above.

He states above "the USCF is in a better position to bargain and deal
within the FIDE world as there is now clearly only one power center in
US chess".

FIDE does not deal with "power centers". FIDE deals with member
federations and the delegates sent by those federations. Goichberg and
the USCF Board have no standing to deal with FIDE because they are
neither a member of FIDE nor a delegate.

Right now there is a change pending in the FIDE Rules which, if
passed, would make all USCF tournaments unrateable. The USCF had
better not be thinking about "power centers" right now.

What is a "power center" anyway? What power does a "power center"
have?
