Default GetClub defends well Still loose against Jester.

Heres an interesting game against Jester.

GetClub Beginner Level was Black. The game was equal till 30th move.

But Suddenly at 35th move GetClub lost a pawn as there was no way to
protect that pawn.

At 47th move Jester promoted to Queen. Beginner gave its Rook for the
promoted pawn.

At 55th move Beginner saw a Mate in 8 and resign.

So you can see despite well defending itself Beginner was ost a pawn
in the end game.

Was there any way to save its pawn in 35th move?

It plays almost as badly as you do. Easy improvements would be

32. ... Kc8 or Kc7

36. ... Kd7

43. ... Nc7 (the N is doing nothing useful on the Q side)
The move played is dire ranked 8/15.

But Jester allowed Getclub back into the game with the stupid spite
check
47. Nh8+ however your engine was far too dim to spot the opportunity.

There are only 5 possible moves out of check and 3 of them are better
than the move
played. Two of them are *much* better and obviously so!

Even the most dumbed down simple material evaluation function should
spot that the correct continuation here at ply 1 is RxN followed by
Rxh7. Grabbing the knight and then the seriously dangerous pawn ASAP.
Kg7 would also be OK although not as potent.

At 55th move Beginner saw a Mate in 8 and resign.

You are making negative progress. The engine was at one point able to
produce plausible looking games. This is pathetic.

OTOH it is marginally more interesting than the USCF soap opera.

Martin Brown

His usual gibberish.

I would suggest tightening up GitClub, since it is "still loose".
