What are "Bills" and "Oilers"? Never mind, if I don't know now, I
probably never will care.

The nickname "Oiler" refers to the oil industry (a well that yields
oil is known as an "Oiler".)

The nickname Buffalo Bills refers to William "Buffalo Bill" Cody.
