Default AF4C has withdrawn from sponsoring the 2007 US Championship

Bill Goichberg made the following announcement this afternoon, and made
the same announcement to Executive Board members last night:

Yesterday, USCF was in contact with Erik Anderson regarding the 2007 US
Championship.

By mutual decision of USCF and AF4C, the 2007 US Championship will not
be sponsored by AF4C, but the two organizations will continue to work
together on different projects, and AF4C will continue to look at
possibilities for future US Championships.

Erik Anderson also said that he will donate $25,000 to the USCF. We
might use this money as part of the prize fund for a US Championship,
with additional funding by another sponsor.

I expect that an announcement that the 2007 US Championship is open for
bidding will soon be posted on the homepage of the USCF website.
