Chessbase (the company, not the product) has spent at least considerable
marketing budget to point out their fabulous graphics for the chess
programs (Their graphical user interface is usually the same for all
current engines, where Fritz sets the pace, i.e. with each new version of
Fritz there comes a new version of the GUI which is then used by all
following new engines presented, as Shredder, Junior). So if you buy Fritz
10 you get some nearly photo realistic 3D pieces, where you can move the
virtual camera through over the board or play on different settings -
something like that:
