Default crafty 19.11: case of a dubious move

I have crafty 19.11 running on FreeBSD 4.5 on a 533Mhz Celeron with
128MB RAM. It was playing against another crafty 19.11 running on an
AMD 800Mhz (Debian 3.0r2). Use the setboard command below if the
board ASCII doesn't make it through the posting.

See the log excerpt below from the Celeron machine. It appears that
Crafty was coming out of book when it made 15. O-O, a dubious move
considering the Ne3 reply (don't you agree?). To my surpise, even the
opponent's log shows 'White(15): O-O [pondering]'. Outside of the
game, when I use setboard on crafty now on the same computer and
version of crafty I get 15. d6 as the move to make. I thought that
this was highly curious and could be attributed to the fact that it
was transitioning into the middle-game phase perhaps. What other
reason would there be that Crafty would make a different move from
when inside a game versus by a set-up position (setboard).

The fen for position above does set not up the castling rights properly.

A major difference... one has game history with repetitions to deal
with, while the setup position does not...

Yes, I agree. So, we see the interaction of the effects of castling
rights & book moves on move selection. 15. Qa4 is selected when
castling rights are allowed and book turned off, but 15. d6 is the
move when casting rights aren't allowed and book turned on (or off).
And, of course, 15. O-O is the move when castling rights are known and
book is on.

I'm just surprised that when selecting 15. Qa4, my computer reviews
almost 60 million nodes and yours needs only 10 million. We might be
using different versions of Crafty, or your learn.dat file might be
helping since I notice the 'learning position' message popping up at
the end on my computer.
