Default Fatherless chess players...

For the whole history of chess only thirteen people have held the World Champion title. Only three of them lived with their fathers in childhood years: Max Euwe, Vasily Vasilyevich Smyslov and Tal. But Tal and Smyslov both were World Champions just for a year. Euwe for 2.

Bronstein would have beaten Botvinnik easily if they didn't send his father to Gulag
a.k.a. Siberian prison for some made up petty reason. If there ever was a book written about a world championship match with all the details then That would be the match I would love to read about. Maybe John Nunn would make the attempt. Who knows.
