Default Wesley So?

It has been a rough tournament for So. If a guy like him could have so
much trouble for his first time in a US championship then it is a
nightmare for other first timers who aren't even as high rated as So.
So tomorrow Saturday could decide the tournament as Robson plays Naka.
Should be an exiciting round indeed.

To say that it was stunning is an understatement for sure. The players
were dumbfounded but they all agreed that the rules are rules. The
Arbiter gave him several warnings and still he wrote on the scoresheet.
Sounds like a bad habit So needs to break.

There was nothing wrong with what So wrote ON the scoresheet. He had a separate piece of paper UNDER the scoresheet. This had some minor verbal advice, no analysis, but was still illegal. He'd been warned twice by the arbiters and often by his own team.

I heard that he wrote this advice on that piece of paper to himself. Are you saying someone wrote advice to him and he hid it under the scoresheet? That would mean forfeit of the rest of the tournament wouldn't it?
