Default email chess organizations. a few questions

i've been looking at a few email chess organizations as this is a route i've
chosen to play a classic strategy game and meet new folks. i have a few
questions i'd like to ask the experts:

why are they all free with limitations? is there a group of some kind out
there free without limitations?
also, i prefer a browser type setup (ie; redhotpawn.com/ itsyourturn.com).
both of these a free with limitations. are there any with browser setup
that is free without limitations?
am i asking too much?

i'm new to this world of email chess, so please forgive the ignorance. i'm
only trying to get some help from the experts.

pls reply to newsgroup.

thanks png0

Play redhotpawn.com and pay the year for about 20 bucks? Very good site,
very friendly people.

The guy running it has just sold his car to help pay for the site, and quit
his job so he can work it full time. The site is great, and needs your
support to make it better.

When you get something for free, you get what you pay for - "Nothing"

Have a good one!

Have a look at http://www.schemingmind.com - it is a free site, so perhaps
not quite as fully featured as pay sites, but we do have a lot of fun there!

You get to see everything there is to see by logging in as 'guest', so
please have a look around before deciding if you want to register.

Cheers,
Austin

I concur! Red Hot Pawn is a very good email chess site. Some others worth
considering are GameKnot, Its Your Turn, etc
Avoid the scam sites like ChessWorld that are down alot of the time and
riddeled with bugs due to poor maintanence.
