Default Biography of Frank Brady

Frank Brady
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frank Brady is Chairman of the Division of Communications, Journalism
and Media Studies, Professor of Communication Arts and Journalism at
St. John's University. He has a B.S., SUNY; M.F.A., Columbia
University; M.A., Ph.D., New York University.

In 1960, Frank Brady was the founding Editor of Chess Life magazine.
(Previously, it had been a newspaper). He later worked as an editor
for Ralph Ginzburg and Hugh Hefner. He is an International Arbiter,
recognized by FIDE, the World Chess Federation, and has directed many
major chess tournaments. He was Secretary of the United States Chess
Federation 2003-2005.

He has written many books, on a variety of subjects. He is chairman of
a department at St. John's University, overseeing a multi-million
dollar budget, 37 faculty, and 700 students.

He is a writer, editor and publisher of international renown. He wrote
one of the best selling chessbooks in history, Profile of a Prodigy,
the biography of Bobby Fischer, as well as countless other books and
articles on chess and other subjects. He has been involved with radio
and film projects.

Thank you so much for your wonderful suggestion. I was not previously
aware that the Library of Congress has a website. And, indeed, the
birth year of Frank Brady is listed on this website. With this
information I have been able to positively identify seven more books
written by this Frank Brady. Here is my biography of him which I have
updated accordingly.

Never: However, I am thinking of doing a bio of George John and Wayne
Praeder. They cannot sue me, because they do not exist.
