Default USCF Adds New Members of Senior Staff

The USCF Web site is reporting that FM Paul Truong has been added to
the senior staff as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations,
which is an unpaid position. Mike Nolan has been retained as Chief
Operating Officer.

The site is promising more details shortly.

I can only assume that Mike Nolan was "retained as Chief Operating

instead of being appointed interim Executive Director for financial

reasons. A
Chief Operating Officer would be paid less than an Executive Director,

even if
the COO were doing the actual work of an ED.

Pure speculation. DeFeis crowned himself ED & CEO. All a moot point. Why
they didn't just call him acting ED or interim ED I have no idea. To avoid
confusion why not just refer to him as the new sheriff in town? If he has
the responsibility, he gots to have the authority.
