Default WCF Update -- Fischer pardon?

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

World Chess Federation, Inc
Las Vegas, Nevada

In a letter dated September 14, 2009, the United States Government has
advised WCF that there is no need for US president to issue any pardon
regarding Bobby Fischer. WCF 'The World Chess Champion' Stan Vaughan
was advised that under the constitution only US federal convictions
may be pardoned by the President, and that while indicted, Fischer was
never convicted of the alleged violation of Executive Order 12810.

Further the US Government advised that under the Department of Justice
rules governing petitions for pardon, that 28 CFR 1.1 et seq a minimum
waiting period of 5 years after serving the completion of any sentence
is required, but that in this case not only was no sentence served,
Fischer was not convicted of any federal offense.

In conclusion, the US Government wished the World Chess Federation
(Fischer's organization) not to be confused with FIDE the
International Chess Federation, to have a successful World Chess
Championship Qualifying Tournament (Reuben Fine Memorial) upcoming
December 2009 in Las Vegas. Details of the WCF World Chess
Championship Tournament can be found at
www.americanchessassociation.org

The WCF is expecting about 6500 chess players to contest to qualify
for a subsequent Stage 2 Candidates Tournament (Samuel Reshevsky
Memorial) and Stage 3 Candidates matches 2010 (Robert Fischer
Memorial).
