Default CXR announce free chess rating service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CXR To TDs: “Try Us for FREE”

Chess Express Ratings, Inc. (“CXR”) has announced that it is willing
to rate any chess tournament of up to 12 sections, free of charge.
The offer is being made to all TDs who are using either WinTD or
SwissSys (tournament management software) and have not used CXR
before. The offer is for one tournament per TD, and extends until
April 30, 2010. All players in the event will be given free
“tournament memberships” by CXR.

“There is no obligation whatsoever, and absolutely no cost. Our main
purpose for this offer is to show TDs how very easy it is to work with
CXR,“ stated CXR founder, Russ Mollot, grinning at a photographer.
“Maybe, later, they might notice that we are providing more than 30
performance metrics and not just a rating.”

Chess Express Ratings, incorporated in New York in 1985, has
affiliates in several countries, and has rated many major events,
including a number of Scholastic State Championships. TDs in the
continental United States can call 1-866-486-4333, toll-free; from
anywhere else, send an email to . Website: www.cxrchess.com

I wonder what would happen if someone sent in fake results using fake
names to this service? What sort of quality assurance measures would
be taken to ensure the validity of the participants and results?

Well Kevin Bachler did that for himself and a bunch of kids he was
teaching and he got caught without Phil's help. What chance would CXR
frauds have with Philsy scrutinizing every submission.
